Consonant clusters have either /l/ or /ɹ/ as the interior consonant, and a limited set of exterior consonants (usually does not include /l/, /ɹ/ or /ɻ/).

The Northeastern dialect has additional consonant clusters that might not be used in all other dialects. This includes:
+ Plosive+fricative cluster in the onset, and Fricative+plosive cluster in the coda
+ /ɻɖʰ/ and /ɻʐ/ in the coda

Stress in Zyihobish:
* Stress prefers to be on a diphthong in a root.
* Stress prefers to be on a syllable that is adjacent to a syllable with /ə/ in a root.
* Else, stress is always on its most possible initial syllable in a word.

Orthography ____________________

The Zyihobish script is mainly an abjad, but can function as an alphabet or abugida in some usages or other languages. It is written right-to-left, downwards.

There are several spelling and pronunciation variants for the same word as there are many dialects.

This abjad system has 20 consonant graphemes and 1 blank vowel grapheme. There are 4 optional vowel diacritics, which can be not added and the word will still be acceptable.

The blank vowel grapheme e usually corresponds to /ə/, if there is no other indicator. This phoneme is also used for epenthesis.
